Flight Training

"The exhilaration of flying is too keen, the pleasure too great, for it to be neglected as a sport."

— Orville Wright

Learning to fly is a life changing experience.  While the amount of work, time, and financial commitment required should not be underestimated, earning a pilot certificate is something that few have or ever will accomplish.  As a sport, recreational, or private pilot the United States is yours to travel and explore. As a private pilot, the world is open to you.

As a newly minted pilot you will also quickly find that you have joined a community. At any airport you visit you will be welcomed by strangers, often handed the keys to their car, and given direction to the best lunch stop in town. There are few other hobbies that boast such an open and welcoming community. For female pilots, you will find that you are treated as an equal and "just part of the gang."

In short, learning to fly will teach you about yourself and the world and open doors to unimaginable beautify, fun, excitement and adventure while introducing you to many, many new friends.  We hope that you will set out on this journey with us at Chesapeake Sport Pilot.
