Experience the beauty of the Chesapeake Bay, Stevensville, Annapolis, and Baltimore from the cockpit of one of our Tecnam P92 aircraft. At Chesapeake Sport Pilot, the Tecnam P92 has become one of our most popular aircraft for Sport Pilot training, Discovery Flights, and recreational flying because of its exceptional handling characteristics and outstanding safety record.
While it resembles a traditional Cessna trainer, the Tecnam P92 offers impressive climb performance, a generous useful load, excellent shoulder room, remarkable crosswind capability, and one of the most forgiving stall characteristics in its class. Its predictable handling inspires confidence in new pilots, making it an ideal aircraft for anyone learning to fly.
The P92 is especially popular with first-time students and older adults thanks to its comfortable seating and easy cabin access. Our instructors affectionately call it "Grandma's Airplane" because it's so easy to get in and out of and is exceptionally comfortable during training flights.
The Tecnam P92 comfortably accommodates pilots up to approximately 225 pounds and fits most body types. Shorter students may benefit from using a seat cushion to improve forward visibility. Whether you're taking your first Discovery Flight, earning your Sport Pilot Certificate, or simply enjoying the spectacular scenery over Maryland's Eastern Shore, the Tecnam P92 provides a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable flying experience.
